2nd Annual Skate Chicago

5-1/2 Months

It's been awhile. Where to begin...I guess with our playdate at the Huntleys. Charlie and Greg had a good time at the U of I vs. Northwestern football game the weekend before Thanksgiving. Can you believe the Illini are going to the Rose Bowl? Patrick and I had a playdate with Liam, Claire, and Alicia. Liam is almost exactly 3 months older than Patrick. I think they are already great pals. What do you think?

Next, we went out to the suburbs to celebrate Mackenzie's birthday with her and ended up staying the week. We were planning on staying Monday and then coming back on Wednesday since the Rileys and Grandma and Grandpa C were coming for Thanksgiving but Patrick and I thought it would be fun just to stay out there and make Daddy commute. I don't think Charlie thought it was that great of an idea, but it was only for a couple of days. So we celebrated Mackenzie's birthday, Patrick's 5-month birthday, Patrick and Nora's first Thanksgiving and unfortunately Patrick got his first cold of the season too! It was a busy week with a few sleepless nights but a lot of fun.

During Patrick's cold, he was very uncomfortable laying down so for the last couple of weeks we have been working on sitting up. Tonight he surprised us and was able to sit up on his own for a couple of minutes. He stayed long enough for me to get the camera and catch it on film. He is growing up so fast!

Veterans Day Weekend

My Grandma and Grandpa Jackson came to visit this Veteran's Day Weekend along with my Aunt Janet and Uncle Charles. My dad took these photographs. My family took me to the zoo for the first time. I got to hear a lion roar and watch the gorillas play.

Giddy Up

Mommy and Daddy went shopping for me on Veteran's Day and spent all of Grandma Jackson's fun money. My bib says " Giddy Up ".

Nora's Baptism

Last weekend we went to Michigan for cousin Nora Kate's baptism. We had a great time visiting with family and Nora Kate was such a cutie. She really listened when the priest spoke to her (unlike her cousin who slept through his!).

Patrick is so excited for his Grandma and Grandpa Jackson and Aunt Janet and Uncle Charles to visit this weekend.

Busy Week

Where to begin....Patrick has had quite the busy week. It started off with the Halloween Party, then Tuesday night he decided he would roll over for the first time while playing with his Dad (he showed his new skill off to his Mom on Wednesday). Wednesday night we went out for a walk to check out the Halloween scene and found the hot place to trick-or-treat is just a few blocks away. Patrick will be loving it in a few years. Today was pretty quiet but we will be heading off to Michigan this weekend for cousin Nora's baptism.

Yesterday we went to visit the Wells Family and attended their school's Boo Bash. Patrick dressed up in his monkey costume, Mackenzie was a pirate, and Keegan went as himself. We had a great time and I think Patrick even enjoyed his first Halloween party.

4-Month Pictures

Patrick is 4-Months Old!

Can you believe our little guy is 4-Months ALREADY! We took him to the park today to have a little photo shoot since it was such a beautiful day. We also bought a new camera so of course we had to try it out. For some reason I can't post the pictures right now so I'll try later.

Patrick and I started Gymboree class a couple of weeks ago. I think he is enjoying it. He really likes to watch the other babies during tummy time. Last Thursday there were 8 boys and only 1 girl? Patrick also likes to sit in his Bumbo seat, chew on his hands, and talk and squeal up a storm! I took some video of him last week, hopefully Charlie will get it posted soon.....

Labor Day Weekend

We made another trip up to Michigan for Labor Day weekend. We had great weather and were able to go on the pontoon a couple of times. The babies love it. Feeding them and keeping them out of the sun is a little bit of a challenge but it sure was nice to enjoy the unofficial last weekend of summer!

Patrick is chatting up a storm and has discovered the color red. He loves to carry on a conversation with the red toys on his bouncy seat at home as well as Grandma C's bouncy seat. We have plenty of video of it so hopefully Charlie will get it uploaded soon!

Otherwise, we are just enjoying all of the new milestones that Patrick is achieving. It seems like everyday he does something new. In a couple of weeks he will be baptized (we'll post pictures so check back soon). Here are a couple of pictures from the past weekend. I love when his dimples show. Is there a saying "like Grandma like Grandson"?

Patrick is 2-Months Old

Yesterday was Patrick's 2-month check up. He was such a trooper when it was time for the shots. He handled it much better than Mom. I haven't heard him cry like that ever.

Last week Patrick and I spent in Michigan at Grandma and Grandpa C's house. We finally got to meet his newest cousin Nora Kate. She is such a cutie. Nora and Patrick were sleeping next to each other and Nora reached out and held Patrick's hand (picture will come later). He met so many people. Great Aunts and Uncles, Mom's friends from high school, Grandma's friends. It was busy but lots of fun which helped keep us from missing Daddy/Charlie too much!

Patrick also made his first trip over the Mackinac Bridge with his cousin Mackenzie. Mackenzie also spent the week at Grandma and Grandpa's and helped out so much with the babies. She is going to be an excellent babysitter in a couple of years.

Update: So I still don't have the picture of the cousins holding hands. I didn't get around to copying the CD yet. More pictures from the week to come....

Grandparent's Visit

Grandma and Grandpa C were here this week for a few days. Patrick made his first trip to the big red box store where we picked up his papasan swing. He loves it (thanks Alicia for the suggestion)! Patrick had a great time with his Grandparents playing paddy cake with Grandma, walking in the sling with Grandpa. We all can't wait for the next visit. Here are a few pictures...
