Toy Story on Ice
Last weekend we headed off to Disney's Toy Story on Ice. We had a lot of fun and spent way too much money on popcorn and souvenirs. Patrick's favorite scenes were with the aliens and toy soldiers. His least favorite was the scene with Zurg. He had his picture taken with Buzz and Woody and although his face in the below picture shows a look of concern, he is still talking about how much fun he had.

Look Who's Skiing
We decided this would be a good year to have Patrick try skiing. It started off a little rough. I've never been on a magic carpet. So when it came time for Patrick and I to get on, I lifted him up, started walking onto the magic carpet and when my skis finally got traction, I lost my balance and fell with Patrick. Of course it scared Patrick, he started crying, a woman offered to help so I could get up and Charlie, well.....he was just taking it all in, I guess? Ha. The woman took Patrick and handed him to Charlie. My Dad came over and helped me get my skis off so I could get out of the way. After that we started again, this time Charlie took over the magic carpet duties and everything went fine. We had a lot of fun and I think Patrick did too. I've never been as tired from skiing as I was that day. It's hard work skiing with a 3.5 year old but so worth it.
After Patrick had had enough. Charlie and I took off with the Wells family. Mackenzie and Keegan are becoming pretty good skiers/snowboarders. I took a couple of more spills (I haven't fallen in years) and where was Charlie?....once again a stranger had to help me up and Charlie was just admiring the scenery, I guess?
While Charlie and I were skiing Patrick hung out with Nora and Grandma and Grandpa in the room and watched cartoons.

Christmas 2010
We had a great Christmas in Michigan this year. We had Grandma and Grandpa all to ourselves Christmas Eve. Patrick slept through most of Christmas Eve mass then we went home and set out the cookies and sprinkled the reindeer food outside. The next morning Patrick could not believe that Santa actually brought him his firehouse along with "the claw" and his very own digital camera (although he still likes ours better).
Later in the morning Nora, Aunt Kacey and Uncle Aaron came over and opened more presents. This was also a big year for Legos and more Thomas trains thanks to Meme and PaPa. Patrick also received his very own robot from Grandma and Grandpa C.
Later in the evening, the Wells family made it up North. We opened a few more presents and then we headed up to Boyne Mountain to stay for the rest of the weekend and for Patrick's first ski!
