Grandma Jackson anticipating tapas at Quartino. With her recently remodeled kitchen at home, she is deciding which tapas to prepare for the card club ladies. Everyone enjoyed the egg plant bruchetta and the shrimp bruchetta. Grandma Jackson (a.k.a Memaw or Meme) was quoted as saying that "Patrick is a bundle of joy and will make a fine addition to the now seven grandchildren". We are hoping to see Grandma Jackson and Grandpa Jackson this fall in Chicago. It is rumored that Patrick will go as a Peanut for his first Halloween Party.

Uncle Pat Jackson (right) relaxing at the Farallon during his weeklong stay in Chicago. Uncle Pat enjoyed walking around Chicago and seeing all the sites. The Pat Jackson family was quoted as saying the "City of Chicago seems to be a cleaner city than New York". We look forward to sharing his Chicago photos with everyone. Kristen Hooper (far left) and Stephanie Jackson settling in at Quartino for Italian Style tapas. The young ladies recommend the margherita pizza at Quartino accompanied with Lake Michigan tap water served on the rocks. We look forward to their final review of their tapas experience in an upcoming posting.

Jackson Family Visit July 2007

Aunt Janet Hooper showing proof that she has in fact washed her hands and can now hold Patrick. Janet is spending the upcoming week in Colorado and we would like to post her Chicago photos when they come available. Cousin Jonathan Hooper was not able to attend the July 2007 visit because of summer school. Jonathan recently proposed to Tammy and they plan on getting married next summer. Uncle Charles Hooper arrived ahead of the group on Sunday morning and was able to hold Patrick before Grandma Jackson. Charles was quoted as saying "that I did not plan on arriving before Grandma Jackson" and "...any suggestion by Grandma Jackson to the contrary is purely fabrication". Charles spent some time researching a trip to the United Kingdom for next summer. He will be spending the upcoming week in Colorado enjoying hiking and fishing.

Young Patrick seen wearing his Animals at the Zoo collection (center and right) this timeless fashion piece was received gently used from his St. Charles cousin Keegan. Kara has already been planning the fall fashions and the preliminary word is that blues and browns will predominate the color pallette.

Grandma Jackson (photo far right, top), Christina, Stephanie, and Kristen (left to right) at the Farallon visiting Patrick on their first day in town. Christina holding Miko (the Shih Tzu) discussing the possibility that he may visit Texas this summer. Christina said "Miko and Winston will have fun chasing house cats and sheep". Miko is being fitted for an airline approved travel crate and will be shipped out once he is cleared with the agriculture department.

Aunt Janice Jackson and Uncle Richard Jackson with Patrick at the Farallon condominium. Joel Jackson was not able to attend becuause of prior commitment to a summer camp. We have sent email to Joel at his camp web site. We hope you are having a great time this summer and Happy Birthday.

The Jackson Family visited Chicago arriving from Texas and Georgia this week. We had a great time and Patrick enjoyed all of the extra attention. The family was able to go on the Architectural Boat Tour, see Wicked, visit Greektown, and of course shop! Short video of Patrick taken without audio on our digital camera. Patrick's dad is trying to figure out how to post video and audio on the blog. Hopefully soon.
