Patrick was a star at his Jr. Kindergarten Christmas program. He knew all of the words to the songs along with the hand motions. He was also such a good listener, it got pretty loud during the program and many of the kids got distracted while the others were getting their turn with Santa, but not Patrick :) I was very proud!

Somehow we had just enough vacation days left to be up in Michigan for the week between Christmas and the New Year. We explored the Kaliseum and will defintely make a trip back. It had a great swimming pool and Patrick went skating for the first time. It didn't take him too long to get the hang of it, in fact he wants to start taking a hockey class. We'll see.
At the end of the week, we went up and stayed at Kacey and Aaron's new house in Petoskey. We had planned on skiing with Patrick and Nora but with the lack of snow and cold temperatures, we didn't make it. They did a lot of outdoor play and sledding at Grandma and Grandpa's house, their driveway turns into the perfect little sledding hill with a little snow. Otherwise, it was a nice and relaxing week in Northern Michigan.
